Your information, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Gagie handles information when you use the Gagie iOS app, including subscription details you enter and optional voice input.

Effective date: September 1, 2026 Last updated: September 1, 2026

Information in Gagie

You choose what to enter, such as a service name, logo, amount, currency, billing cycle, renewal date, category, status, reminder timing, and note. Gagie also uses preference settings such as your default currency and week start day.

Gagie has no account sign-up and does not ask you for bank account or payment card details. The app stores the subscription records and preferences you enter in its app storage on your device. Gagie does not send those records to a Gagie-operated server, and we do not receive or review them.

Your device may include app data in a backup according to your iOS backup settings. Those backups are managed by Apple and your device settings.

Photos and camera

If you choose to take or select a service logo, Gagie uses the camera or the photo you select for that purpose. The selected image is saved with the subscription record on your device. Gagie does not upload the image to a Gagie server.

You can decline camera access and still use the app. When selecting a photo, iOS presents the system photo picker so you can choose an image for Gagie.

Voice dictation

Voice dictation is optional. When you tap Speak, Gagie requests microphone and speech recognition access, captures speech for transcription, and places the resulting text in the note field. Gagie does not create a separate audio recording file.

When Apple’s speech recognizer supports on-device recognition, Gagie requests that option. If on-device recognition is unavailable, Apple’s Speech service may process audio using Apple systems. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. Gagie does not operate the speech recognition service.

If you save the dictated text in a subscription note, it is handled like other note text described in this policy. You can use typed notes without granting speech or microphone access.

Renewal notifications

If you allow reminders, Gagie schedules local notifications through iOS using the service name and renewal information you entered. Gagie does not use a push notification server for these reminders. You can change notification permissions in iOS Settings or change reminder preferences in Gagie.

Sharing and service providers

Gagie does not sell personal information. The app does not include an account server, advertising network, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking feature. Subscription records are not shared by Gagie with service providers.

Apple system services may process information when you use speech recognition or device backups, as described above. Their handling of information is governed by Apple’s policies. You can read Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Retention and deletion

Your records remain in Gagie on your device until you remove them or use Settings → Reset data. Resetting data clears the subscription records and Gagie preferences stored by the app and removes Gagie’s pending local reminders. A copy already included in a device backup may remain according to your iOS backup settings.

Your choices

  • Use Gagie without voice dictation by typing notes.
  • Choose whether to grant camera, microphone, speech recognition, and notification access through iOS permission prompts and Settings.
  • Clear your Gagie records and preferences using Settings → Reset data.

Turning off a permission may limit the related feature, but you can continue using other parts of Gagie.
